Prior to founding Juvo Capital, Harry and Talmadge founded MeziMedia which operated comparison shopping and coupon websites in 10 countries with offices in Los Angeles, Tokyo and Shanghai. Starting with one cent of revenue on day one of operations, they grew the business over six years to more than $100 million in revenue and sold to Valueclick (NASDAQ: VCLK) in 2007. The same year, MeziMedia was recognized as #215 of the fastest growing private companies in the U.S. by Inc. 500 and received similar awards from Deloitte & Touche.
MeziMedia launched their first site for $10,000, and ultimately raised less than $2.5 million from friends, family and employees, to achieve an ~$300 million dollar exit. Before MeziMedia, Harry worked in Product Management while Talmadge worked in Business Development at GoTo.com (Overture Services) which commercialized paid search results and launched what is now a $20 billion search engine marketing industry.
Talmadge O’Neill
Prior to GoTo.com, Talmadge was a consultant for the Boston Consulting Group in the London office, worked at the then Czechoslovak Ministry of Finance, and did a short stint at the U.S. State Department in Washington D.C. Talmadge holds a B.A. in Government from Claremont McKenna College and an M.B.A. from the Darden School at the University of Virginia.
Talmadge’s interests include travel, wine, art, geography and history. Talmadge is a member of the Napa Valley Reserve, invests in art through The Collectors Fund, and is a big fan of Tesla Motors and SpaceX.
Harry Tsao
Harry was born in Taiwan and moved to California when he was 15. He holds a B.S. degree in Business from USC and an M.B.A. from the University of Cambridge, England. Prior to GoTo.com, Harry worked in the computer hardware industry, having worked for Hitachi PC and Clarion Corporation of America.
Harry's interests include travel, horse back riding (Dressage), airplanes, and the NBA.
